Adelaide Festival Plaza redevelopment plans released for public comment

The Riverbank Authority has released draft plans for the upgrade of Adelaide Festival Plaza, which forms a key component of the overall redevelopment of the Riverbank Precinct.

The upgrade covers 26,000 square metres of public space surrounding the Adelaide Festival Centre, including Adelaide Railway Station, Adelaide Casino, Parliament House and Old Parliament House, plus Station Road and Festival Drive.

The proposed plans aim to improve connections within and between the precinct and the rest of the city while also creating a meeting space where people want to stop and spend time.

The state government has committed $180 million toward revitalising Adelaide Festival Plaza, supported by a $430 million contribution from the Walker Corporation.
