Joseph Chou

Joseph Chou was born in Beijing, China. After graduating from prestigious Peking University he went on to study in the US. Upon returning to China he became a diplomat and eventually migrated to Australia in 1991. In August 2002, Joseph founded the Sydney arm of a property group. He worked closely with his two partners and many talented people, and led the group to achieve close to $1.5 billion in sales revenue within a few short years.

In early 2006, Joseph set up Ironfish and has grown it into one of the largest and most successful property investment brands in Australia.

Over the years Joseph has given financial support to many worthwhile causes as well as pursuing his passion of encouraging young people to pursue their dreams.

Joseph is also the Chairman of the entrepreneurship training organisation 80Success - a business Ironfish opened in China in November 2010. His partners include some of Joseph's Peking University classmates, including billionaire educator Michael Yu (founder and CEO of New Oriental, the largest private education institution in China).

Susanne

Susanne Anderson

Susanne is one of the 3 founding Directors of Ironfish.

Susanne has had an interest in property since an early stage of her career, developing more than 10 years of industry knowledge. She is experienced across a raft of different operational and customer service areas from property management and customer service to compliance, risk mitigation and financial management. Susanne was the Sydney Operations Manager for Joseph Chou's original Sydney property company from 2002 to the end of 2005, before setting up Ironfish with Joseph Chou and Grant Ryan in early 2006. Over the past 5 years, she has since systemised and developed the operational and management side of the business into one of the most sophisticated operational systems of any property investment business in Australia.

A keen property investor herself, Susanne has a passion for continually delivering value to Ironfish investors, developers, partners and staff.

Grant

Grant Ryan

Grant Ryan is one of the 3 founding Directors of Ironfish.

After studying Law and Arts in Wellington, New Zealand, Grant migrated to Australia in 1994. He met entrepreneur Joseph Chou by chance in Dec 1998 and has been working with him ever since.

Grant has been a respected property investment strategist, researcher and market commentator for more than a decade. He developed and refined Ironfish's diversified "Portfolio Approach" strategy to property investment over the past 12 years and it is widely regarded by many property experts as an astute investment strategy that enables every investor to maximise profit and minimize risk while building their portfolio.

Grant is an avid property investor and has built up a substantial property portfolio.

Damon

Damon Nagel

Damon was born and bred in Adelaide.

In 1992 he moved to London to further his education in fine wine. By 1994 Damon changed careers and started working in real estate in the salubrious suburb of St Johns Wood. Within a year he bought his first Investment property. In 1997 he opened and ran a successful and innovative property management/investment company in South London. The business was a market leader and so successful that by 2003, Damon was able to sell his business and move back to his home town of Adelaide, where he bought a vineyard and spent the next 3 years building award winning boutique winery, Brackenwood.

In 2006 Damon met Joseph Chou and couldn't resist the opportunity to open the Adelaide office of one of Australia's most dynamic property investment brands. Damon has a large portfolio of properties in Australia and the UK. He continues to run his winery in his spare time.

Nicole

Nicole Tam

Nicole migrated from Taiwan with her family to Australia in 1989.

Nicole is a well known success story within the Brisbane Property industry with over 10 years experience in property specialising in sales, property management and marketing.

In August 2008, she was appointed General Manager of the Ironfish Brisbane office. With demonstrated expertise, a natural aptitude for property investment and outstanding work ethics, Nicole has assisted many Brisbane investors realise their dreams of beginning and expanding their property portfolio. She leads a dynamic team of some of Brisbane's best property investment strategists.

Nicole has a Masters in Commercial Law and has built up a substantial property portfolio.

Ellen

Ellen Bian

Originally from Tianjin, China, Ellen lived and studied in New Zealand for many years before finally settling in Melbourne in 1999. She has an extensive media background, and worked for 3 years as Marketing Manager for Australia's only 24 hour a day Chinese Radio Station. Her creativity, innovation and dynamic business skills resulted in record revenues for the company and established herself as one of the most influential marketing figures in Melbourne.

In 2003, she met Joseph Chou and was inspired by him to join the property industry. Ellen's natural talents surfaced as she immediately started delivering phenomenal results and was extremely successful under Joseph's leadership. In 2006, she was invited to set up the Melbourne office of Ironfish in Box Hill. With Ellen's passion for investment, she has built up a substantial property portfolio for herself, and helped more than 1,000 families along the way.

Gary

Gary Ma

Originally born in Hong Kong and educated in Canada, Gary eventually migrated to Australia where he settled in Melbourne. He has been in the professional sales industry for more than 25 years. During his 20 years of working with one of the top Toyota dealerships in Australia, he was part of a senior management team that helped Toyota regain the number 1 car manufacturer status from Holden in Victoria, and along the way won many personal awards including the coveted silver knight award for excellence in customer service. As General Sales Manager, Gary led a dynamic sales team that won the best salesperson award in Australia 5 times.

Gary met Ironfish CEO Joseph Chou and Melbourne Managing Director Ellen Bian in early 2007 and was inspired by them and the Ironfish investment system and vision. He finally joined Ironfish’s Melbourne office that year and enjoyed immediate success as Sales Manager and then on to General Manager.

Gary is an avid property investor himself and has a passion for the company vision to help ordinary people fulfil their dreams in this “lucky country”.

Jason

Jason Jin

Jason migrated to Australia from Shanghai, China in 2001 and was immediately struck by the almost limitless opportunities available in Australia. Jason observed the property market closely and over the years built up a substantial property investment portfolio.

Having obtained a Masters Degree in Computer and Information Engineering, he worked in the IT industry before venturing out on his own to run a very successful business. In 2008, he met Ellen Bian and being a successful investor and businessperson, he was inspired to join the property investment industry with the Ironfish Melbourne office as a property strategist. Jason quickly established himself as a leader and was promptly promoted to a leadership role within the company. He is a fully licensed real estate agent and was appointed Managing Director of Ironfish’s second Melbourne office (Ironfish St Kilda) at the end of 2010.

Helen

Helen Qin

Helen moved to Perth from Beijing in 2006 after a distinguished management career spanning more than 12 years. Her experience included business development, marketing, sales, customer care and operations. She has led various teams and smashed many company records along the way.

Upon arrival in Australia, Helen was passionate about property and joined the Real Estate industry. She set up the first Chinese WA property website Perthmyhome.com to introduce property related knowledge to the Perth Chinese community. She continues to be a guest anchor on a major Perth Chinese Radio station and has been a writer for one of Perth's local property papers since 2007. In 2009 Ironfish's CEO Joseph Chou invited her to establish Ironfish's Perth office.

As well as her passion for extending her property portfolio, Helen is passionate about charitable work and spends much of her spare time doing volunteer work in the community.

Lanny

Lanny has over 14 years of corporate experience with both Australian and global Fortune 500 companies.

In the early 2000's, Lanny was the regional manager for Corporate Finance of a large Sydney firm and in 2004 he met founder and CEO Joseph Chou. He was so inspired by the Ironfish vision that Lanny joined the Property Investment Industry and has never looked back.

Lanny quickly became one of Sydney's top investment strategists and is today a sought after speaker and presenter on investment strategies and market trends. Lanny is a JP, a fully licensed real estate agent and has an MBA from one of the most prestigious management schools in the Asia-Pacific region.

In his spare time, he enjoys sport, reading personal development books and participating in charitable activities.

Linda

In early 2003 Linda left one of Australia's leading import & export companies to work with Joseph Chou. Her business experience combined with her passion for property as a successful investor quickly enabled Linda to become one of Ironfish's most successful strategists and leaders. She won the number one investment strategist award 3 years running.

Having personally accumulated a multi-million dollar multi-state property portfolio, Linda is a powerful mentor for clients and staff and is an advocate of Ironfish's Portfolio Approach. In 2006, Linda moved to Adelaide to assist Adelaide MD Damon Nagel to set up Ironfish's Adelaide office and for 3 years was a crucial part of the management team. By mid 2009, Ironfish had become the most recognized property investment brand in South Australia.

In 2009, Linda was appointed the Managing Director of Ironfish's second Sydney operation Ironfish Burwood. Linda is an accomplished speaker about property investment. She is a registered Justice of the Peace (J.P.), a licensed real estate agent and a fully qualified finance broker.
